I'thousand planning on buying a big white board to put on my sleeping accommodation wall. I don't want to commit to it though, so I don't want to boom it to the wall. Does anyone know of a non permanent solution to set up the board to the wall?

EDIT: Haven't bought the board all the same, so I don't know the weight. Dimensions volition probably exist around 72" by 40"

  • Hullo, and welcome to Stack Commutation. When you add information to your question, yous should edit it right into the question rather than adding it in a comment; information technology makes it much easier for futurity readers to get all the data.

  • Is this going to be a typical framed whiteboard with marking tray? Or are you going to buy a sheet of melamine? If the latter, it will be cheaper and you lot take a whole lot more surface area to work with. However, I can't remember of anyway that you are gonna mount something that large reliably without a pigsty. It doesn't have to be a large hole but information technology's gonna have to be a hole.

Just get a whiteboard adhesive coil. Y'all can make it the entire wall if you want. And you can easily remove it and reuse it in another location.

  • Only make sure to get the hands removable version - there are besides ones with a more permanent adhesive, but this (generic blazon of product) was exactly what I thought of when I read the question.

I take had a lot of success with those "Control" adhesives from 3M, but information technology entirely depends on how heavy it is. If y'all are not familiar with them they take a tab that allows them to suspension their glue bond past stretching the cloth and I accept not had any go out marks on the wall. They are bachelor at about any hardware store. They have a weight rating on the package and I would figure half that.

You can hang whiteboard with industrial strength velcro. I buy the role at Home Depot that is rated to hold 10 lbs. Considering it is attaching to the wall, there is not 10 lbs of weight actually on the velcro strips. I put them on every corner and one in the middle summit and bottom and left and right. It concord bang-up, we exercise this in our school for classrooms. Information technology works perfectly. I buy the channel guides and put them around the whiteboard to protect the edges (the whiteboard at Dwelling Depot and Lowes will bend easily at the corners and sides). Or you can trim them, like a frame. Works great, hope this helps someone.

Some ideas:

  • Buy an easel and set up it on that.
  • Build an easel-like frame and set it on that.
